Get Diggin’ It is at Easton Lodge’s Nature in the Garden event in May
May at Easton Lodge invites visitors to learn about the wildflowers and the wildlife in the Gardens, with a Bug Hunt, nature activities and trail for all the family. Our Thaxted Morris Men will also be there celebrating the joys of spring in their special way, at 12.30pm.
Events: Bug Hunts, bird walks, viewing of moths and dragonflies lead by Jono Forgham and members of Bishop’s Stortford Natural History Society. We will also be joined by our Beekeepers, Essex Bat Group, Uttlesford Badger Group, RSPB and Essex Wildlife Trust
There’s plenty of space for children to run around and there are children’s fun and craft activities too. Play a game of croquet or sit and enjoy live music with your tea and homemade cake. And shop at the craft, plant and book stands.
Get Diggin’ It will be there with our spring veg seedlings for sale and children can even plant up their own seedling to take home. Watching it grow and learning where food comes from is a fantastic way to encourage your kids to eat fresh vegetables.
The gardens open from 11.30am until 5pm with the last entry at 4pm.
Stalls: Crafts, RSPB, our Beekeepers & Essex Wildlife Trust, Get Diggin’ It.
